    Where a linear gradient runs.

Either an edge-to-edge direction, an angle in degrees clockwise from twelve o'clock, or explicit endpoints. The tuple is [x0, y0, x1, y1] in the node's own coordinates from its top-left corner, which is what a keyword resolves to once the node's size is known — v1's wording and v1's shape.

The bare angle is CSS's linear-gradient(45deg, …), which v1 has no spelling for. The names are CSS's, so where v1 offers less than CSS the reference wins.
